Site work often runs outside the BIM model. Surveyor data lands in one tool, the terrain in another, the cut-and-fill quantities in a spreadsheet. When the design moves, the site moves with it on screen but not in the numbers. Architerra pulls terrain, roads, and volumes into the same Archicad file as the building, so the site and the design stay in step.
DXF, XYZ, SOSI, and SHAPE files sit in a folder, not in the design. The team rebuilds the site by hand every time the surveyor sends an update.
Quantities for excavation and fill get calculated in spreadsheets that lag behind the model. Pricing the earthwork waits on the maths.
Site data leaves Archicad for a separate civil tool, comes back as a static drawing, and stops updating. The architect, the contractor, and the engineer end up with three versions of the same site.
Import surveyor and GIS data straight into Archicad. Architerra supports SOSI, SHAPE, DXF, XYZ, and TXT, with large surveys coming in as TXT point lists. Generate the terrain model from the import, ready to design against in minutes.
Once the terrain model is generated, add contour lines, slope analysis, plateaus, and ditches as objects on top of it. Generate roads from polylines, then give a road its gradient and length profile, link it to a reference line, and add curbs, junctions, or a railway when the project calls for it.
Drape the building on the terrain and run mass calculations on the spot. With plateaus, roads, and ditches established, Architerra calculates volumes from the terrain model and returns cut, fill, and mass balance you can list and price.
Generate the terrain model from real coordinates, then build on it. Contour lines, colour slope analysis, plateaus, roads, and ditches are all objects you establish on the model, and they live in the Archicad file.
Generate roads from polylines, then add the gradient and length profile that Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish projects expect. The reference-line workflow keeps modifications to an existing road fast.
With plateaus, roads, and ditches established, Architerra calculates cut, fill, and mass balance from the terrain model. Contractors get the numbers without the spreadsheet handover.
SOSI, SHAPE, DXF, XYZ, and TXT come in as terrain, roads, plan data, or 3D objects, ready to use inside Archicad.
Architerra is for the team that owns the building and the site together. The work is rarely flat. Surveyor files, sloped plots, and earthwork quantities are part of the design, and they belong in the same model as the walls and the roof.
Architerra is an Archicad add-on. The terrain, the roads, and the mass calculations stay in the same Archicad file as the building. Surveyor and GIS data comes in through SOSI, SHAPE, DXF, XYZ, or TXT. The coordinated model goes out through IFC and BIMx.
Nordic BIM Group is the exclusive Archicad partner and the exclusive Architerra partner across Finland, Norway, and Sweden, which is why both licenses, the implementation, and the support sit on one local team and one local invoice.
We set Architerra up against your terrain data sources, your file conventions, and the way your team hands the site over to contractors.
A three-hour eLearning Architerra course gives the team a structured start.
When something blocks you, a local Nordic BIM Group support team picks up. Finnish, Norwegian, or Swedish, same timezone as the project.

Architects across the Nordics are bringing terrain, roads, and earthwork into the BIM model. The roster is growing.

Yes. Architerra is an Archicad add-on developed by Eptar. Nordic BIM Group is the exclusive Archicad partner and the exclusive Architerra partner across Finland, Norway, and Sweden. We sell both licenses and bundle them on one local invoice.
Both are Archicad add-ons, and they cover different work. Architerra handles terrain, roads, slopes, and cut-and-fill quantities, for architects building on real sites. LAND4 handles landscape design (planting, surfaces, and landscape composites) for landscape architects. Some practices run both. Nordic BIM Group is the exclusive Nordic partner for both products.
Architerra 6 supports Archicad 23 through 29 on Windows and macOS. One download covers all supported Archicad versions. Confirm the latest compatibility with your local Nordic BIM Group team before you install.
SOSI (Norwegian geospatial vector format, all object types), SHAPE, DXF, XYZ, and TXT point lists. KOF files work after a quick Excel preparation. Architerra does not import point clouds directly; bring a large survey in as a TXT point list and generate the terrain model from that.
Yes. Once you have established plateaus, roads, and ditches, Architerra calculates volumes from the terrain model and returns cut, fill, and mass balance as a listing. The contractor gets numbers from the same file the architect designs in.
Yes. Architerra 6 generates roads from polylines. Once a road exists, you add its length profile and gradient, road thickness, and custom road profiles, with a reference-line workflow. A length profile can be edited on an existing road; a gradient is placed as an object rather than edited. Curbs, ditches, junctions, and railways are separate tools. Slopes display as percentage, degrees, or ratio.
Yes. Architerra georeferences in given coordinates and supports the buildingSMART procedure referenced in the Statsbygg BIM manual for Norwegian projects. SOSI import handles plan data, building lines, and neighbouring property boundaries.
Architerra is sold through Nordic BIM Group as the exclusive Nordic partner. Book a demo with the local team. We walk you through Architerra on your own terrain data, in your language, and share the commercial terms in the same conversation.
Pricing varies by market and by how the package is built (Architerra on its own, or bundled with Archicad and a Nordic BIM Group implementation). Talk to your local Nordic BIM Group team for current pricing in your market.
