Archicad: Interiors 1. From client drawings to presentable interior

Interior projects start with someone else's drawings and end with a presentation that has to sell the design. This course teaches the interior workflow in Archicad: import the client's drawings and model on top of them, handle rehabilitation and design alternatives, create new surfaces from your own textures, use the libraries, and present with interior elevations and 3D views. Live and instructor-led, classroom or online, taught by Nordic BIM Group specialists on the current Archicad version. Assumes you know the Archicad basics.

Who it's for

One course for people who already know Archicad and design interiors in real projects: interior architects, interior designers, and architects whose work starts inside an existing building. It assumes you have the basics, so if you are brand new to Archicad, start with Archicad Fundamentals. Pick the situation that sounds like you.

Every project starts from a client's 2D drawings

You get 2D drawings from the client and rebuild too much by hand. You learn to import them and model quickly on top of them, so the project moves from day one.

You work with existing buildings and alternatives

Rehabilitation jobs, and clients who want options. You learn a simple way to handle existing versus new, and to keep design alternatives in the same file, ready to compare.

Your libraries never have the furniture and finishes you need

The standard Archicad library only goes so far for interior work. You learn to use it efficiently and to bring in supplier libraries, so the right fixture or fitting is there when you need it.

Your presentations take longer than the design

Interior elevations and presentation views eat the hours the design should get. You learn to generate them from the model and keep them up to date, so they are ready when the client meeting is. Booking for a team? Talk to an advisor.

What you'll learn

By the end of the course you can take a project from the client's drawings to a presentable interior model in one connected workflow. Here is the scope.

Most interior projects start with drawings the client hands you. You learn to import them into Archicad, set them up at the right scale and position, and model quickly on top. They do the reference work, and your model becomes the single source for everything that follows.
