Work Smart in Archicad: do more in fewer steps

The course for people who already work in Archicad every day and suspect they are doing things the long way. In one focused course you pick up the techniques most users never find: reusing content with Hotlinks, carrying design variants with Design Options, working efficiently with existing buildings, and smarter ways to draw. Taught by Nordic BIM Group instructors on the latest version, in person or online.

Who it's for

One course for people who already know Archicad and want to work faster in it. It assumes you have the basics, so if you are brand new to Archicad, start with Fundamentals. Pick the situation that sounds like you.

You know Archicad well, but suspect you work the long way

You are productive and you get the work done, but you have a feeling there is a faster route through it. The course shows you the techniques that turn repeated effort into a few clicks.

You rebuild content you could be reusing

You copy and redraw elements that turn up across a project, or across projects, instead of linking them once. You learn to reuse and coordinate content with Hotlinks, so a change in one place updates everywhere.

Nordic-BIM-Group-Icons-documentation-sync
You juggle design variants across separate files

You keep alternatives in different files and merge them by hand. You learn to carry and compare variants in one model with Design Options, so you can switch between them without the file-shuffling.

Nordic-BIM-Group-Icons-team
You lead a team you want working the same smart way

You can see good people spending hours on work the software would shortcut. Book the course for the group, or talk to an advisor about training a whole team on the same techniques, built around your own projects.

What you'll learn

By the end you have a set of techniques you apply to your next real project, not a day of theory. Here is the scope.

Hotlinks let you place content from one file into another and keep it linked, so repeated parts of a project, repeated units, shared details, or a whole reference model, update everywhere when the source changes. You learn how to set them up, nest them, and keep them under control, so you stop rebuilding by hand what you could place once and reuse.
