Planning a major museum exhibition involves hundreds of decisions across design, logistics and coordination. Nationalmuseum Sweden has made that process digital, using BIM and Archicad to model exhibitions before anything is built or moved.

Joakim Werning and Sara Al Adhami, exhibition designers at Nationalmuseum, show how BIM helps their team plan layouts, manage levels and coordinate between disciplines without the costly rework that comes from making decisions too late. They share what they have learned from past exhibitions and how those lessons are applied to upcoming ones. They also cover how the same models are reused for communication with stakeholders and for internal visualisations.
