Archicad 30 Known issues
Archicad may occasionally crash during startup
Issue
Archicad 30 may occasionally crash during startup.
In our tests this occurs intermittently: in some cases Archicad starts as expected, in others it crashes. After a system restart, Archicad usually runs again.
Workaround
Restart the macOS system before launching Archicad again, if you encounter the crash.
Solution
Apple has acknowledged this as an operating-system issue and plans to address it in a future macOS update. In parallel, we are investigating possible measures on our side to reduce the impact and provide the most reliable experience possible for Archicad 30 users.
Color picker does not behave as expected
Issue
On macOS 27 Golden Gate, the color picker shows minor visual or functional inconsistencies when used from Archicad.
Workaround
Use predefined pen sets and surfaces where possible, and avoid frequent changes via the color picker if you notice unexpected behavior.
Solution
We are working on a fix that is planned to be included in the Archicad 30 RC build. We will update this article when the fix is available.
The installer log shows unknown OSX Version
Issue
On macOS 27 Golden Gate, the installer log shows "Current operating system: OS X unknown".
This does not affect functionality of Archicad, but it may be confusing for users.
Workaround
No workaround.
Solution
The issue is still under investigation. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
Single-clicking an element triggers unintended drag / momentary hang
Issue
On macOS 27.0.1, single-clicking an element to select it, can cause Archicad to hang momentarily and immediately enter drag mode without any command or key pressed.
Workaround
Use Area Selection to select the relevant elements.
